You must be strong enough to strike and strike and strike again without tiring.
The first lesson is to make yourself strong.
After the jaw-dropping revelation that Oak is the heir to Faerie, Jude must keep her younger brother safe. To do so, she has bound the wicked king, Cardan, to her, and made herself the power behind the throne. Navigating the constantly shifting political alliances of Faerie would be difficult enough if Cardan were easy to control. But he does everything in his power to humiliate and undermine her even as his fascination with her remains undiminished.
When it becomes all too clear that someone close to Jude means to betray her, threatening her own life and the lives of everyone she loves, Jude must uncover the traitor and fight her own complicated feelings for Cardan to maintain control as a mortal in a Faerie world.

My dear fae lady, first of all, HOW DARE YOU😱! You know exactly what I am talking about. What nerve you have! How dare you write something with this kind of atrocities. What audacity possed your soul to write this blasphemous tale. It is against the rules of nature! And yet, I love it! 😍I love it so much that it is even better than the first one. I want at least 5 books in this series! I don’t want it to ever end. I don’t want the wickedness to end. I can’t phantom what would happen next in the book. And I have to wait for a whole year for it to come out?? Are you kidding me! Your life is writing books of torture to slowly kill us from the inside like this one, what else do you do with your life? The 3rd book is already written, so just publish it to save us from the agony of waiting.

I can’t even begin to put my emotions to words with this book. I just can’t. It is a scatter of clues to the big surprise in which the big surprise is another clue itself to an even bigger surprise which is only the begining of the true story✨. If you find that my words are confusing, blame it on Elfhame’s culture. Or even better, blame it on Holly👏Black! All I can say it, this is a must read for any YA fantasy lover, or any reader at all!🙌 The world building is spectacular! With each small courts with their own customs and culture. Jude is a badass QUEEN and as always, she’s saving everyone’s ass while Cardan just lounges on his throne, bottle of wine in hand, one leg across the arm of the throne, crown crooked slight and his dark alluring black eyes that made me fell head over heals for the Land of Faerie❤️⚔️🧝
And yes, my hair is wet because I carelessly fell into a lake😏😉 📖
